Dismantling of a willow den!




 
This willow den had become a little lopsided due to its original design. I decided it was time to take it down and give the main willow rods a new lease of life. There's nothing much left at the moment but once spring arrives the hope is the willow will again begin to grow and another den will develop from these main struts,

Putting down roots!

 Roll on summer! It has been just over a year since I moved to my new home. These photos shows the progress I made in my garden last year. The ground is pure clay, digging into the land is as difficult as it gets. I designed a raised bed using the materials already available to me left by the previous owner.

This is how it is looking now! I am always in awe of the seasons and the way nature takes a hold destroying the vegetation dramatically only to resurface as the temperature rises in spring.
